hall bath…

back yard…

so looking at the pictures again…make us excited to move on. finally.

moving on…6.6 miles to be exact.
we have had many ups and downs these last 7 months. when all is said and done…we have decided to move on…47 houses later…we found one worthy enough.
i (amanda) am really having a hard time leaving my neighborhood. i love it more than my house i think. but we have looked up and down and thought of every possible way to stay…but it just isn’t working out. so we have ventured outside of our ( i mean MY) comfort zone…and have decided to branch out further. we have ended up in the “garden of the gods” neighborhood behind whole foods. we put an offer and it was excepted…but all the joy of homeownership has been sucked out of me. i know i should be happy…but in the back of my mind…i am waiting for something to go wrong. that’s normal, right?
so say goodbye to this:

and hello to this:

they are very different…but it will be a good fit.

housing update 6,456,792
well…here we go again…
we having been looking at more houses recently. it’s seems as though the house we were going to buy (and now living in) has once again brought forth complications. the little house has dropped in property value…and the seller hasn’t really come to terms with this fact. don’t get me wrong…he’s a super nice guy and has been easy to work with. but paying more than a house is really worth is crazy talk.
after living in the house for 5 month we have realized the kitchen is small and not very functional. then really thinking about it…the living space is too small…so off to the search again.
we found a house/townhouse 3 streets away and put an offer…then we went to visit it again and heard the neighbor bumping their music against the house’s shared wall. we pulled our offer and ran far away from there as fast we could. there is no way we would be in that type of situation again.
next, we found a house on the other side of our neighborhood and turned it down the first time we saw it. the house doesn’t have a garage and that seemed like a deal breaker. however…after rethinking it, we decided to take a another look at it this week. we chatted with our realtor and we all agreed this was a comparable solution. we went home slept on it, and after weighing the good and bad we decided it will be a nice fit for us. we put in an offer last night and we should hear something tomorrow (sunday) about our offer.
we keep saying house hunting is not like the tv show and that is the truth. we are way too picky i guess. we will be happy however it works out. we will make it work and pray for a compromise if needed with the yellow house. either house has many wonderful features. so i guess it a good problem to have.
